Alden Nelson

Alden T. Nelson Jr., 72, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at his daughter's home. Formerly of Bridle Path Trail,

Alden was born in Natick, Mass. Son of the late Alden T. Nelson Sr. and Gertrude (Brophy) Nelson. He was a graduate of Natick High School and attended Northeastern University. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After the service he joined the Wellesley Police department where he served on the force for 15 years, retiring in 1985 as a sergeant.

He is survived by one daughter, Tamara Nelson of Concord; one son, Gregory Nelson of Hudson; three grandchildren, Marcus, Tori and Miranda Nelson; one sister, Martha Weagle; and one brother, Jerome Nelson.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael Nelson who died in 2011; and one brother, Frederick Nelson.

There will be no visiting hours.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
